    Sevin Rosen was founded in 1981 by L.J. Sevin and Ben Rosen, both quickly establishing a reputation for success. In the past two decades, the firm has assembled a team with deep operating, technology, and venture capital experience.     Based in Richardson, Texas (a technology savvy center of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex), STARTech is a business accelerator that was created in 1997 to provide a unique service facilitating the successful creation of fledging technology companies. Seeking visionary entrepreneurs based in Texas and Oklahoma STARTech participates early in a company life cycle, working with the technology founder who has invested his or her time and perhaps received some financial support from friends, family, and/or angel investors.

  • UPS Strategic Enterprise Fund

    The Strategic Enterprise Fund (SEF) is the private equity strategic investment arm of UPS. The Fund is a corporate venture capital group, focusing on developing critical partnerships and acquiring knowledge returns from its investments in information technology companies and emerging market spaces. Established in 1997, the SEF is an important business development tool that enables exploration of emerging markets and technologies that may enhance the evolving business model of UPS. The Fund monitors external business environments and allows UPS to learn from companies directly involved in the new economy.
